- The Shore A00 Scale is used for measuring very soft rubbers and gels.
- The Shore A Hardness Scale is used for flexible mold rubbers, ranging from very soft and flexible to medium and somewhat flexible, to hard, with minimal flexibility. Semi-rigid plastics can also be measured at the higher end of the Shore A scale.
