Liquid silicone rubber is widely used in the reproduction of figurative sculptures. Original pieces are typically sculpted or carved from materials like clay, wax, or wood. A rubber mold is then applied—poured, brushed, or sprayed onto the original—to capture all the fine details and facilitate easy removal from undercuts and negative drafts.
